Restinclières, my village
Restinclières is a Mediterranean village of 2,500 inhabitants, small in scale, yet surprisingly lively. You’ll find everything you need for daily life: a grocery store, bakery, pharmacy, florist, and hair salons, along with several restaurants and food trucks for lunch or dinner on a sunny terrace.
On Sunday mornings, the traditional village market invites you to wander and chat with the locals. In summer, every Wednesday evening turns into a celebration, with concerts, local wine tastings, and open-air musical evenings giving the village a festive, convivial atmosphere.
Sports enthusiasts will find tennis and padel courts just a few steps away.
All around, the neighbouring villages offer their own markets, exhibitions, concerts, and tours, there is always something happening in the region.
Here, the Mediterranean art de vivre is not a cliché, it’s everyday life.
I live in the south of France, between Montpellier and Nîmes, in a spacious, light-filled home set in a quiet location on the edge of a forest, with a swimming pool — an ideal setting to learn French while enjoying a true sense of well-being.
I love to travel and have explored several continents, discovering different peoples and cultures along the way. This passion has given me a genuine taste for hospitality and meaningful exchange. I enjoy welcoming guests, whether friends or students on a language stay. To make their stay comfortable, I offer a private bedroom with its own bathroom and toilet, as well as direct access to the terrace.
After a long career in sales and marketing within a major national company, I chose to redirect my path toward what truly inspires me: teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE). I now teach online to learners from around the world, as well as in person at a language school welcoming students of all ages. This flexibility allows me to combine several activities I am passionate about.
The region offers a wealth of attractions: Montpellier and Nîmes boast an exceptional historical and cultural heritage, the Mediterranean coast is just 20 km away (La Grande-Motte, Palavas, Sète), and the Pré-Cévennes invite you to enjoy beautiful hikes in unspoiled nature.
Come and learn French… in a different way.
In 1986, I earned a two-year technical degree (DUT) in Sales and Marketing Techniques, which led to a long business-focused career in sales and marketing. Throughout this career, I mentored and developed the skills of numerous team members.
A few years ago, I decided to make a complete career change and now teach French as a Foreign Language (FLE). To support this transition, I have completed several MOOCs offered by the Alliance Française and am currently preparing for the DAEFLE diploma. I also speak English at a B2 level.
The region offers an exceptional variety of experiences, all just a short distance from my home:
Heritage and culture
Nature and the great outdoors
Flavours of the South
Every stay is tailor-made: activities are chosen together, based on your wishes, your interests, and a pace that suits you. The aim is for every afternoon to be a true immersion in the life and culture of the South of France.
To immerse oneself in the French language is to enter a world where every word carries the weight of history, every conversation reveals a culture, and every day becomes a discovery of the soul. —Maya Angelou
