The hamlet of Marlanges is a peaceful paradise nestled in the heart of nature. Here, you enjoy all the benefits of the countryside — tranquility, fresh air, starry skies, and deep peace — combined with a genuine local and cultural vibrancy. It’s a lively little hamlet with a restaurant, guest houses, a theatre, a market gardener, an artisanal bakery, various associations… and a wonderful community spirit!
This small village is located near many places of interest: the town of Aubusson, capital of tapestry, home to the Cité Internationale de la Tapisserie; Felletin, with its beautiful Friday morning market; the Chaîne des Puys, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site; the city of Clermont-Ferrand, rich in architectural heritage… And of course, countless hiking trails, ponds, and lakes to enjoy the lush nature!
You are warmly welcome in my lovely yellow house — a peaceful, cozy haven with a large garden. On the ground floor: a spacious, sunlit living room with a beautiful library, a piano, a wood stove (perfect for cozy evenings by the fire!), a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs: two bright bedrooms with skylights, and a large, pleasant bathroom. Fully renovated two years ago, the house is both functional and very comfortable. And full of good vibes!
I’m a writer and a teacher of French as a Foreign Language. I began teaching French in Mexico, at the Autonomous University of Querétaro, then in Spain at a language school in Zaragoza. Sharing the French language is my passion, and I’ve often welcomed friends into my home to help them learn French. This inspired me to open my door to motivated students. I’m convinced that immersion is the best way to learn a language.
I live in a little paradise surrounded by nature, in a lively hamlet with a theater, a restaurant, an artisanal bakery, a farm and more. I’ll welcome you here with my cat Hermès and will do everything I can to make your stay unforgettable!
I’m also the author of a travel guide about the Limousin region, so I know its history, hidden gems, must-see spots, and all the best local tips — I’d be delighted to help you discover it like a true local.
My family live in the same hamlet. I also have many close friends living here. At home, it’s just my cat and me, but if you feel like meeting more people, you’ll find plenty of opportunities!
A few more words about me: I’m passionate about literature, I love playing the piano, traveling, hiking, and connecting with people through open-hearted, genuine conversations. I’m also interested in education, spirituality and creativity.
I hold a French Baccalauréat in Literature with a focus on Arts and Music (I play the piano). During my academic journey, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Literature, followed by a Master’s degree in Creative Writing with highest honors from the University of Clermont Auvergne in 2019. I also hold a Master’s degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language from the University of Poitiers, obtained in 2022.
As an experienced French as a Foreign Language teacher, I’ll support you daily in your learning journey. Having lived in Mexico and Spain, I understand the challenges and richness of full immersion and will adapt to your level and needs.
Beyond the lessons, you’ll enjoy cultural and local activities that reinforce your practice of French in authentic contexts. Here are a few examples:
