Verdun-sur-Garonne is a lovely medieval village nestled along the banks of the Garonne River, just 40 minutes from Toulouse. With its red brick houses, a 13th-century church at its heart, and a welcoming vibe, it’s the perfect place to slow down and embrace the simple pleasures of French life.
Take a leisurely walk through the village, stroll along the river or through sunflower fields and vineyards, enjoy a countryside picnic, or visit the lively Saturday morning market in the nearby village of Grenade-sur-Garonne, offering fresh produce, local cheeses, honey, and crusty bread.

During your stay, I’ll take you on charming excursions to discover the beauty and culture of the Occitanie region. We’ll wander through the picturesque streets of Toulouse, the “Pink City,” known for its vibrant energy, rose-colored buildings, and iconic landmarks like Place du Capitole and the Basilica of Saint-Sernin. We’ll dive into history in Albi, a UNESCO-listed
town where the awe-inspiring Sainte-Cécile Cathedral and the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum offer a rich cultural experience. If you love villages full of charm and character, we’ll explore hidden gems like Cordes-sur-Ciel and Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, where cobbled streets, ancient stone houses, and quiet cafés invite you to pause, take photos, or simply soak in the atmosphere. These outings are a great way to practice your French in real-life situations — and to experience the authentic French lifestyle with me as your local guide!
Welcome to my home! I’m Sandrine, a passionate French teacher with years of experience teaching both French and English (Cambridge CELTA certified and a graduate of the Sorbonne). My goal is to offer you tailor-made lessons based on your goals, to help you progress at your own pace, and to build your confidence in speaking French naturally — whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills.
I absolutely love learning languages myself — I speak English, Spanish, Italian, and a little Portuguese, and I’ve always been curious about other cultures. We’ve travelled a lot — my husband Guillaume, our two (now grown-up) children, and I — and we truly believe that the most meaningful experiences come through immersion and connection with local people. That’s why Guillaume and I are really looking forward to welcoming you into our home, sharing with you the beauty of our region, and making your immersion into French language and culture a warm, authentic, and unforgettable experience.

We live in a spacious and light-filled 100 m² house with a garden. During your stay, you’ll have your own private bedroom to relax and feel at home. You’ll meet Guillaume, my husband, and Lilou, our cat. You might also meet my son Alexis and my stepdaughter Louise — both 19-year-olds.
