Meet Anna, your French language teacher and host.

My name is Anna, and I’m a passionate teacher of French as a foreign language. I invite you to enjoy a full immersion stay in our charming family home, located right in the center of Auxerre—a beautiful historic town in the Burgundy region of France.

Together with my husband Jérôme, an antique dealer and trained chef, our daughter Nastia (6 years old), our dog Stella, and our cat Léon, we form a lively and welcoming family. With us, you’ll be treated like one of our own, in a warm, joyful, and inspiring atmosphere.

An 18th-Century Home Full of Charm… and Stories

We live in a characterful 18th-century house, full of history and vintage objects. We also run a tearoom and antique shop, where students can practice French over a cup of tea or coffee, surrounded by beautiful items from another time. It’s a unique, cozy, and poetic place—perfect for learning at a gentle pace.

A Dynamic, Personalized Approach to Learning

I offer a tailored teaching method based on communication, friendliness, and authenticity. Lessons are customized to your needs and woven into daily life: conversations over a good meal, exploring our town, role-plays in real-life situations… Every moment becomes an opportunity to learn.

Exciting Activities to Live and Breathe French Daily

Jérôme, my husband and trained chef, invites you to discover Burgundy’s rich culinary heritage through cooking workshops. Together, we’ll teach you how to make local specialties such as the famous boeuf bourguignon, delicious gougères, and traditional French onion soup. It’s a fun and flavorful way to immerse yourself in French and Burgundian culture! From March to October, we can also go treasure hunting at local flea markets. You’ll get to explore our beautiful wine region, with visits to Chablis, wine tastings, and walks through the vineyards. And why not plan a day trip to Dijon or Paris, both just two hours away by train from Auxerre? Culture, history, and gastronomy are all within easy reach!
